Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security architecture for cloud-based applications, ensuring compliance with security best practices and frameworks.
- Work closely with business owners, application teams, and enterprise architects to assess security requirements and design security solutions.
- Overlay security controls on existing architecture, ensuring no data loss, malware risks, or security vulnerabilities.
- Design and enforce network security, data encryption, logging & monitoring, and auditability frameworks.
- Provide security guidance and expertise in AWS services, particularly in compute, identity & access management (IAM), and database security.
- Track work and ensure compliance with Agile processes using Jira.
- Effectively manage multiple security initiatives across three to four concurrent projects, balancing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Required Technical Skills:
- 10 years of experience in Information Security, with a strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- 5 years of experience in cloud security architecture, including designing and implementing security controls in cloud-based environments.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS security architecture, including compute services, IAM, VPC security, and data protection.
- Knowledge of security controls required to run secure AWS services.
- Understanding of security frameworks for designing architectures.
- Experience in multi-project environments, working across three to four projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Agile and Jira for task tracking and prioritization.
- Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) to articulate security risks to stakeholders.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.
- AWS Security Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or AWS Networking Specialty.
- CISSP or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with AI/ML security considerations (not a core requirement).
