Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, professional Dental Front Desk Administrator to join our private, patient centered practice. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. The candidate must possess a positive attitude, strong organizational, analytical, communication and people skills. The Front Desk Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all clients.

Duties

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
  • Manage phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Handle scheduling and maintain accurate patient records using office management software.
  • Process collections and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Utilize Open Dental for patient management and appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area to create a welcoming environment.
  • Insurance verification: Verifying patients' eligibility and dental benefits using in-office records, insurance company calls, and online resources
  • Insurance claims: Filing insurance claims for patients and tracking payments
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including typing correspondence and managing office supplies.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental front desk or receptionist role is required.
  • Familiarity with dental coding practices is an advantage but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using office management software; experience with Open Dental is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
