As part of our dedication to excellence, we are seeking a diligent and proactive Restaurant Porter to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our restaurant.

Position Overview: This is a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and smooth functioning of the restaurant. Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, the Porter supports day-to-day operations by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with the preparation and storage of restaurant supplies. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong sense of teamwork in a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen, and staff areas.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining spaces before and after service.
  • Transport dishes, glassware, and utensils between kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized properly.
  • Remove and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Organize and store deliveries, ensuring stock is stored properly to maintain inventory levels.
  • Support the front-of-house team by ensuring that the restaurant is fully stocked with necessary items, such as napkins, cutlery, and condiments.
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient back-of-house area for ease of service and operations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Help with any other duties or requests from management as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining environment, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude.
  • 5 years working experience in fine dining highly preferred

We are open Tuesday to Saturday and will need someone who can work all shifts from 4:30pm until 12:30am.

Descripción del Puesto:

Este puesto es esencial para garantizar la limpieza, organización y funcionamiento fluido del restaurante. Trabajando en estrecha colaboración con los equipos de cocina y servicio, el Portero apoya las operaciones diarias manteniendo la limpieza y ayudando con la preparación y almacenamiento de suministros. Este rol requiere atención al detalle, eficiencia y un fuerte sentido de trabajo en equipo en un entorno de alta cocina de ritmo rápido.

Responsabilidades Clave:

  • Mantener la limpieza y el orden en el restaurante, incluyendo las áreas de comedor, cocina y zonas de personal.
  • Ayudar con la preparación y desmontaje de los espacios de comedor antes y después del servicio.
  • Transportar platos, cristalería y utensilios entre la cocina y las áreas de comedor.
  • Asegurarse de que todo el equipo y los utensilios de cocina se limpien y desinfecten adecuadamente.
  • Retirar y desechar la basura y los materiales reciclables de acuerdo con las normas de salud y seguridad.
  • Organizar y almacenar las entregas, asegurando que el inventario se mantenga en niveles adecuados.
  • Apoyar al equipo de servicio asegurándose de que el restaurante esté abastecido con artículos necesarios como servilletas, cubiertos y condimentos.
  • Ayudar en la limpieza y desinfección de los baños según sea necesario.
  • Mantener una zona trasera organizada y eficiente para facilitar el servicio y las operaciones.
  • Cumplir con todos los estándares de salud y seguridad, asegurando el cumplimiento de las normativas de higiene.
  • Realizar otras tareas o atender solicitudes de la gerencia según sea necesario.

Habilidades y Calificaciones:

  • Experiencia previa en un puesto similar, preferiblemente en un entorno de alta cocina, es deseable pero no indispensable.
  • Fuertes habilidades organizativas y capacidad para priorizar tareas de manera efectiva.
  • Capacidad para trabajar bien bajo presión y en un entorno de ritmo rápido.
  • Gran atención a los detalles y compromiso con altos estándares de limpieza.
  • Capacidad para colaborar con los equipos de cocina y servicio.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
