TITLE: Warehouse/ Yard Associate
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: ALL BRANCHES
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager –Franklin, Greenfield & Leesburg
Distribution Manager - Lebanon
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full - time
Position Summary:
Loading and unloading of pipe, valves, fittings, geotextiles, geogrids, erosion control and drainage products. Other primary duties include maintaining a clean and organized yard.
Essential Functions:
Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Stock shelves with inventory, pulling and staging orders and loading customer’s vehicles.
- Maintaining the yard work and assisting in keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
- Assist in inventory counts and controls.
- Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Previous driving experience.
- Have a Chauffer’s License with a clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
- Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen.
- Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs or more.
- Possess the ability to load and unload deliveries without assistance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as pick sheets.
- The skill and ability to speak effectively with customers, listen to their needs, and help lead them to a solution.
- Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material.
- Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task prioritize and meet deadlines.
