About the Role:
The Diagnostic Electrician is a critical member of our team at Drake Cement and Materials, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cement unit. This includes performing preventative maintenance on industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and completing routine and non-routine repairs.

The Diagnostic Electrician is a critical member of our team at Drake Cement and Materials, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cement unit. This includes performing preventative maintenance on industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and completing routine and non-routine repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in daily work activities, conducting thorough job hazard analyses and work area examinations.
- Perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting of low and medium voltage equipment, AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers, pressure meters, temperature sensors, weigh scales.
- Install and renovate equipment compliant with regulatory agency standards and current NEC Code.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions, participate in safety and environmental activities, and use plant and equipment correctly.
- Maintain strong knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including VFDs, HMI, SCADA Control Systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Analyze and diagnose complex issues, utilize specialized test equipment such as Meggers, Fluke 789, Hart 475 field communicator, Altek calibrator.
- Remove, repair, and install electrical components, mentor or train other electrical workers as needed.
