What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Inspector position at DRAKE CEMENT LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Collects and interprets vibration, tribology and thermography data.
- Complete projects as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and Methods Coordinator as requested
- Field inspection based on the predetermined routes.
- Create notification to planner to facilitate repair/modification planning. Discuss findings with maintenance supervisor.
- Investigate and contribute to the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts, recommending corrective actions.
- Ensures that plant equipment is operated in compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinates repairs and modifications with vendors, contractors and Drake supervision
- Support continuous improvement with an emphasis on predictive maintenance. Documents procedures for all preventive programs, providing recommendations to the maintenance team on improvements and implementation.
- Communicates to the maintenance team on the condition of equipment, potential failures or out of standard operating conditions.
- Works with the Maintenance Supervisor in developing, set up specific inspection routes covered all plant equipments.
- Works with the Maintenance Supervisor and Methods Engineer to ensure systematic checks and inspections of plant equipment are completed.
- Inspects repairs done by Drake Maintenance personnel and contract services..
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Associate degree, vocational or technical area in vibration analysis, millwright training
- A bachelor's degree in a non-technical area, engineering basics, and equipment operations are preferred.
