Experienced Paralegal – Medical Malpractice Focus

Position Overview :

We are currently assisting one of our longtime clients, a well-respected and long-standing personal injury law firm in downtown Madison, in their search for an experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in medical malpractice cases. Key Responsibilities :

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in medical malpractice cases.
Draft and proofread legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
Assist with case management, including client communication, scheduling, and maintaining case files.
Conduct legal research related to medical malpractice claims and relevant statutes.
Coordinate with medical professionals, experts, and healthcare facilities to gather case materials.
Prepare and organize documents for trial preparation and hearings.
Manage billing and timekeeping for case-related activities.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a focus on medical malpractice cases.

Strong knowledge of legal terminology and processes related to medical malpractice litigation.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
