Summary
The Paint Line Operator is responsible for operating the paint line machine to produce and inspect painted parts per instructions.
Functions
· Load and unload parts into CNC machines, specifically the paint line.
· Operate machine and produce painted parts per instructions.
· Perform inspection checks on parts per instructions.
· Responsible for the quality of the parts being painted. Use gages as trained. Check levels of chemicals.
· Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
· Perform preventive maintenance on paint booth as scheduled.
· Complete any logs that may be required at job location.
· Initial back of production ticket when orders are complete to ensure verification of paint quality.
· Keep containers and parts identified.
· Adhere to all employment rules and regulations.
· Understand and implement Drake Driven company values.
· Contact Quality department or management if any quality concerns arise.
· Attend required meetings or training sessions.
· Know the Quality and Environmental policy, SWPPP and their objectives.
· Train on and understand the Power Lockout Procedure.
· Contact management with any safety or environmental questions or concerns.
· Comply with MIOSHA requirements.
· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean condition and follow all safety and environmental regulations.
· Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shop area.
· Sort and pack parts as needed.

Requirements
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm).
Eligibility Qualifications
· Basic computer knowledge
· Minimum of one year of machining experience
· Understanding of production procedures
· Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
· Knowledge of basic gaging and attention to detail
· Understanding of manufacturing environment (e.g., Hilo traffic, inventory, safety protocols, quality systems, inspection frequencies, etc.)
· Knowledgeable in painting operations in a manufacturing environment
· Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear, etc.)
· Physica stamina and strength
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
· Tolerance of heights
· Willingness and ability to fit into tight spaces
