What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer - Traveling position at Drake Inc?
Here at Drake Inc, we travel through the Mid-West repairing, painting, roofing and doing structural concrete repair to concrete grain elevators. Qualification and responsibilities will include:
· Work outdoors year-round within a four- or five-person crew.
· Ability to travel several weeks at a time.
· Operate a variety of construction hand and power tools. Example drill holes (Hilti rotary drill) and other skilled labor.
· Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
· Concrete experience appreciated, shotcrete placement, concrete finishing, rebar tying
· Load and unload construction materials, must be able to lift 50lb, slide and maneuver 94lb (sacks of Portland cement).
· Be comfortable working at heights of 100’ on swing stage scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements (interior and exterior work).
· Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
· Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
· Work day schedule maybe 10-12 hours depending on project demands.
· Follow instructions from supervisor and work as a team member with good attitude.
· Additional duties include, power washing, scaffold building, painting, roof coating, general construction skills.
· Driver’s License preferred but not required
