CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a professional, meticulous, adaptable, and diligent individual to help us take our team to the next level.
You will represent our general contracting team as you oversee commercial construction projects and build lasting relationships with clients, partners, and key vendors.
- Alongside the Project Manager, oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects including schedule, budget, safety, quality control, and reporting.
- Supervise and control all aspects of assigned construction sites
- Report directly to Superintendent/Project Manager
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Facilitate weekly foreman meetings including use of Last Planner System
- Coordinate directly with vendors and subcontractors
- Assist Project Manager in managing and forecasting project budgets
- Track and organize field changes
- Ensure organization and usability of drawings, specifications, and other documents
- Interface directly with 3rd party clients and in-house development team
- Maintain and update information on Procore
- Create and distribute daily reports via Procore
- Maintain professional appearance of all deliverables and project sites
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding client requirements and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management or similar
- Excellent computer and typing skills
- Ability to adapt to using Drake Tappe’s standard processes
- Excellent communication skills in-person, over the phone, and through email
- Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize and multi-task while staying organized
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel experience
- Minimum of 3-years of commercial construction related project management experience with a general contractor
- OSHA 30 certification
- Previous experience with Procore software
