Job Summary:
Drake University is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant coach. The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations.
- Ability to build rapport and students, coaches and staff.
- Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching.
- Ability to complete work within deadlines under little guidance.
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred.
Job Duties:
- 60% - Assist with coaching and development of student-athletes - (Essential)
- 20% - Assist with recruitment of student-athletes - (Essential)
- 10% - Assist with organization and execution of all practice sessions and meetings - (Essential)
- 10% - Complete other tasks as assigned by the head coach - (Essential)
- 0% - Performs other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
- 0% - All of the duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, Pioneer Football League, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Drake University. - (Essential)

This position will receive a monthly stipend and is not eligible for benefits.
