Department Summary:
The Department of Music is a unit of the Drake University School of Fine Arts and a visible musical resource for the community and region. Housed within Drake's College of Arts & Sciences, the Department's mission is to provide a center for the study and understanding of music that develops students’ intellectual, practical, and expressive abilities by emphasizing professional preparation, collaborative learning, critical thinking, and musical communication.
Job Summary:
Drake University invites candidates interested and experienced in teaching Studio Teaching Techniques to undergraduate music majors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree preferred or commensurate experience. Experience both at the collegiate level and pre-college level of teaching as well as professional orchestra performance experience is desired.

Salary:
Salary is competitive with peer schools and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
