What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor position at Drake?
Work with the Maintenance Coordinator and Planners to plan, coordinate, and direct maintenance activities safely, professionally, and logically.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities.
- Assist with mechanical shutdown planning and execution.
- Work with the Mechanical Coordinator to facilitate and support continuous improvement programs.
- Assist Maintenance Coach/Trainer with developing and implementing maintenance training programs.
- Work with engineering support to facilitate minor plant improvements.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of department budgets.
- Develop job hazard analysis on non-routine jobs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- A bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering area is preferred.
- Eight years of experience in mining, cement, and aggregate maintenance and production.
- Eight years of heavy industrial experience and at least 4 years of mining or cement plant maintenance experience.
- At least 5 years of working around and on heavy and thermal equipment is required.
Working Conditions:
- Plant 75% of the time. Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations, and dust.
- Office 25% of time, Office environment.
