Job Description Summary:
As a Digital Electronics Design Engineer, you will design, develop, tests and oversee the manufacturing of electrical printed circuit boards (PCBs), analog and digital circuits, electronic equipment, sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems.The Tailored Systems Business Area within Electronics Program Office directorate delivers first-of-a-kind field-ready microelectronics solutions in support of National Security missions. The Draper team is chartered with supporting the Nation's most challenging problems by providing an iterative and agile approach to innovative and creative technical solutions delivered at the speed of mission.

Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
* Translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures working with cross-functional teams.
* Design and/or complete instruments including microprocessors, power, and analog components.
* Innovatively solve issues, drive completion of the project to schedule, and collaboratively work with other technical contributors.
* Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing, and support.
* Research and enable innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs.
* Engage other engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost effective and solutions for products.
* Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
* Independently executes assignments with minimal oversight.
* Able to apply technical knowledge to solve problems.
* Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
* Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicate them to project leadership.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Proficiency in electronic design, microprocessor or embedded computing.

Additional Job Description:
In this position you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams designing, developing, and verifying high reliability digital electronics for use in a wide array of applications. These applications include processor boards, FPGA and SOC boards, memory applications including DDR and high speed I/O. As a senior member of the Harsh Environments Electronics Group, you will help shape digital hardware architectures and lead electronics development activities by applying sound engineering and project management principles.
This is onsite in Cambridge, MA.
