Job Description Summary
The Associate Program Manager supports various Program Managers in the execution of their assigned programs, including, but not limited to the Precision Instruments (PNC1) and Multi-Sensor Navigation (PNC2) business areas within the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Solutions portfolio. Works under the guidance of lead program managers and business area leads who carry the responsibility of the project execution and future program/opportunity development. Provides support to cost and schedule controls, assists in tracking technical and programmatic execution, as well as opportunity development and tracking. In some cases, may take on the authority of managing specific portions of a program such as a subcontracts, but in all cases reports functionally to the assigned Program Manager.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Technical, or Business field of study
Experience
3-5 years of professional experience in program management.

Duties/Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Assists in the development of project documentation to include, but not limited to, program plans, schedules, statements of work, risk tracking, purchase requisitions.
- Performs data entry and management using prescribed business tools.
- Works with the technical team to implement and update Program Plans and Integrated Master Schedule.
- Maintains actions and problem tracking systems
- Ability to apply basic administrative principles.
- Ability to learn new principles and learn Draper’s business tools.
- Works under the supervision of the Associate Director for Portfolio Execution and the assigned program manager.
- Regularly interacts with project team staff.
- Effectively conveys work results to the project team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters.
- Ability to apply basic program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project/program activities to meet the successful delivery and of execution of assigned programs.
- Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning, execution, project monitoring and control, and decision
- making
- Ability to integrate team member inputs into reports and presentations for, and as directed, by the program manager.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
