Job Description Summary :
As a Hardware Analog Electronics Design Engineer, this person designs, specifies, develops, and tests analog electronics for a wide array of applications, including analog front ends, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, precision feedback systems, dc / dc conversion. They also perform a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of specifications and requirements of the systems. The Hardware Analog Electronics Design Engineer designs these circuits, performs simulations, implements the physical layout, verifies and tests designs. They also perform a variety of engineering activities throughout the life cycle to support planning, design, test, deployment, and sustainment.
Job Description :
Duties / Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and build power system architectures.
- Conduct research, design, development, and testing of hardware such as miniature power conversion and management circuitry, distributed power architectures, radiation hardened designs.
- Optimize system designs for reduced size, weight, and power.
- Design new products and develop technical specifications for their production.
- Analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions and test hardware conformance to specifications.
- Develop and maintain effective internal / external relationships.
- Independently executes assignments under the oversight of program leadership.
- Eager to learn new technical skills and expand their depth / technical knowledge.
- Contributes content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
- Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
- Identify challenges associated with assigned work and communicate them to project leadership.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills / Abilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required, Master's Degree preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in Power Systems Engineering or related.
