Position: CNC Machining Center Machinist, Set Up & Operator
Job Description:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of a CNC machine tool. This position will also be responsible for the inspection and repair of parts, as well as the coordination of shop activities. This position reports to the Shop Supervisor.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up CNC machines for operations according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on CNC machines.
- Coordinate activities between shop personnel and outside contractors.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on machines to identify and repair issues.
- Work with outside contractors to ensure quality of parts, assemblies, and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform all work in a safe manner at all times.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, etc.…to perform machine checks, machine adjustments, and minor repairs.
·Ability to follow verbal directions and complete assignments accurately and timely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
