Your Role :
The Procurement Forester Intern will focus on tracking and analyzing fiber supply for the Morehouse plant while contributing to procurement strategies for all wood pellet facilities across Southern NA.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inventory Management : Support weekly and monthly fiber inventory assessments by tracking inventory levels and coordinating with team members to ensure sufficient supply.
- Forest Sustainability : Engage in mill and logging site visits to audit practices and collect data, supporting our commitment to responsible sourcing.
- Supplier Relationship Management : Facilitate communication between teams and suppliers, managing order details, delivery timelines, and quality standards to enhance supplier relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain records and prepare reports on inventory, supplier performance, and sustainability audits, providing insights for decision-making.
- Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure a 'Safety First' mindset.
- Participate in fiber inventory counts and tract audits.
- Assist in stakeholder communication with fiber suppliers.
- Help manage the execution of the fiber procurement plan and budget.
- Administer 3LOG / LIMS sources and contracts, resolving loading disputes and reconciling fiber receipts.
