What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Human Resources position at DRB Group?
JOB PURPOSE :
The Regional Director of Human Resources will be a business partner to their assigned divisions and functions as a liaison between corporate and the division to support many aspects involving our employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Engagement
Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and support a positive culture for assigned divisions
Work with division and corporate leadership to align division and company values
Travel as needed to division offices and worksites to provide on-site support to division employees
Performance Management and Employee Relations
Support the division with performance management reviews, compensation and bonus preparation
Collaborate with corporate human resources and local management to ensure consistent HR practices across locations
Train and provide support on new corporate wide initiatives
Develop succession plans and talent pipelines with division and corporate leadership to ensure the current and future leadership needs are met
Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution
Mediate conflicts and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
Recruiting, Onboarding, Retention
Lead, with the support of the corporate human resources department, the full life cycle recruitment process for assigned divisions (posts internal and external job openings, provides full support of the interview process for assigned divisions)
Conduct weekly new employee, welcome orientations and coordinate new employee set up with Corporate IT
Create partnerships with identified Colleges, Universities and Professors and attend and support recruiting events, such as Career Fairs, on campus interviewing sessions, etc.
Manage the college internship program for assigned divisions, with the support of the corporate human resources department
Review and submit to corporate human resources and payroll, employee status changes (salary increases, bonuses, transfers, promotions, terminations)
Conduct exit interviews with employees of assigned divisions

QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge and Skills
General knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor Degree, Business Management / HR Concentration is preferred
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
Minimum 6-8 years of experience working as a strategic HR business partner
Experience in homebuilding, construction and / or the real estate industry, is preferred, but not essential
Experience supporting employees in multi states
Advanced knowledge of federal and state labor laws
Ability to travel as needed and occasionally with short notice
Strong leadership coaching skills
Excellent conflict resolution skills
