Assistant Program Director (APD) – DRCC Cloquet Area

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, offering a rewarding combination of leadership, administrative responsibilities, and meaningful direct support.

What You’ll Do:
As an APD, you’ll:
- Build respectful relationships with the individuals served, promoting their rights and interests.
- Protect health and safety while supporting independence and personal growth.
- Provide direct care, including assistance with personal hygiene, lifting, transferring, and daily living tasks.
- Collaborate on service plans and implement outcomes to meet individual goals.
- Assist the Program Director with administrative tasks, including budgeting, medication ordering, scheduling, grocery shopping, program writing, and recordkeeping.
- Train, supervise, and provide leadership to staff, ensuring quality care and service delivery.
- Maintain the home’s environment, equipment, and safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:
- Be flexible, dependable, and a self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate compassion, maturity, honesty, patience, and integrity.
- Meet the following qualifications:
- Two-year degree in behavioral science or related field, OR one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in computer use, email, and business-related software.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and minimum state-required auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check.
