Flexible Schedule to Fit Your Life
We understand the importance of balancing work with personal commitments. As a DSP, you'll benefit from a flexible schedule with part-time opportunities available. We're seeking candidates who are open to working a variety of shifts, including overnight, where you may be present during the night but able to sleep during certain hours while ensuring the safety and comfort of the individuals in your care. Occasionally, weekend shifts may also be required to maintain our high standard of care.

What You'll Do:

As a DSP, your responsibilities include:

• Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with the individuals we serve, ensuring respect for their rights and promoting their interests.
• Health and Safety: Protect the health, safety, and well-being of those in your care.
• Personal Care Assistance: Assist with personal care when necessary, including help with mobility, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to implement Coordinated Service and Support Plans and meet the unique needs of individuals.
• Programmatic Support: Perform other functions as necessary to support the program’s goals and daily operations.

A Day in the Life at DRCC:

• Morning Start: Help individuals with their personal care routines and assist them in getting ready for the day.
• Engage in Activities: Encourage participation in hobbies, community outings, and other activities that promote independence.
• Support and Supervision: Provide assistance with personal care, help with household tasks, and ensure safety throughout the day.
• End-of-Day Routines: Help individuals wind down in the evening, assist with bedtime routines, and provide overnight supervision as needed.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about helping others and enjoy working in a flexible, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will:

• Be flexible and open to varying schedules, some programs do include asleep or a awake overnight shifts (added $$) and occasional weekends.
• Be comfortable providing personal care and support for individuals with disabilities.
• Have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and maintain state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be at least 16 years of age and able to pass a background check.
