What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Club Manager position at DRD Pool Management?
DRD Pool Management, Inc. is seeking swim club managers in Baltimore, Howard, and Carroll County locations. This position is seasonal and stretches from mid-April through Labor Day operating as a part time position at the start and end of the season with fulltime hours during the summer with a portion of weekday and weekend availability.
The role of swim club manager is an outdoor position whose responsibilities include not only overseeing lifeguard staff, but also the facility operation and enforcement of safety policies in accordance with DRD protocols, the associated board of directors for the facility and local health department.
The swim club manager role requires prior experience as a lifeguard, and the ability to obtain lifeguard and pool operator certification if not currently certified. The qualified swim club manager candidate should also possess organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, competent written and verbal communication, availability on weekends and weekdays, and the patience to mentor young employees.
The swim club manager duties will include:
- supervision and mentoring a staff of 15-30 lifeguards
- creating schedules utilizing our scheduling software
- verbal and written communication with staff, board members and patrons
- conducting on-deck evaluations and observations of lifeguard staff to ensure proper zone vigilance
- collaboration with the board to plan and prepare for special events, activities and programs
- maintenance and documentation of proper pool chemistry compliant with health department regulations
- operation of filter system
- providing a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
