What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swimming Pool Area Supervisor position at DRD Pool Management?
DRD Pool Management, Inc. is interviewing for Area Supervisors in the Baltimore County, Harford County, and Howard County areas. This is a seasonal position from April until September. The role starts in a part-time capacity and builds to full-time as we prepare to open the swimming pools for Memorial Day weekend.
The Area Supervisor is an outdoor, field role requiring expertise and implementation of DRD Pool Management’s Swimming Pool Safety Policies and Facility Operation procedures. Area Supervisors work as team leaders who oversee the lifeguard staff assigned to their geographic region or “corridor”. Successful Area Supervisors are organized, meet deadlines, have patience to mentor young employees, and must have the swimming ability required to become a certified lifeguard.
Area Supervisors are responsible for maintaining client satisfaction through well-documented communications with designated community representatives.
Supervisors will train on-site lifeguard staff in DRD policies and procedures to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming environment; Oversee cleaning and preparation of their facilities prior to opening day; Schedule and complete weekly meetings with on-site community representatives; and operate their facilities in accordance with the local Health Department regulations. DRD Pool Management believes that facility safety, cleanliness, and professionalism are maintained through the effective training and mentoring of the hired lifeguard staff.
An Area Supervisor must have reliable transportation to travel to and from facilities within their corridors, as well as to weekly meetings at the DRD office in Hunt Valley, MD. Accurate tracking of mileage will result in gas reimbursement. Area Supervisors must also be available by phone to assist on-duty staff or to be accessible to community representatives.
