What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at DRD Private Home Care?
We are looking for compassionate caregiver for our company. We do not tolerate disrespect, discrimination, retaliation, aggressive behavior towards any of our clients.
Offering Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-3pm
Duties include but not limited to
- Assist a stroke patient who suffers from aphasia and right sided weakness with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication as instructed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation, therapy exercise, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a personal care assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Practice Autonomy
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
