Job Summary
Dream Christian Preschool in Beaverton, OR, a new preschool set to open in September 2025, is seeking an experienced and licensed Preschool Director or coordinator who will collaborate with preschool board to set up and launch a new preschool.
Dream Christian Preschool aims to provide high quality early childhood education in a Christian environment to enable our children to develop a biblical worldview, to have a dream of the Kingdom of God and to become like Jesus.
Dream Christian Preschool seeks a director or coordinator who will oversee the daily operations of the preschool, including staff management, curriculum development, budgeting and financial planning, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual and educational leadership for staff and families..
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with Christian values and early childhood education standards.
- Manage and supervise teachers, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage the preschool’s budget and financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and provide ongoing communication about their children’s progress.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members.
- The director or coordinator will report to the board of directors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Demonstrate the qualities of a disciple of Jesus and be an active member of a local church.
- Agree to abide by the Dream Christian Preschool’s statement of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- At least three years of director experience working in a preschool setting or within an early childhood program.
- Knowledge of current early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
