SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for processing various file requests, assisting with reconsideration of value requests, and supporting other compliance-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process various file disposition requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with reconsideration of value requests, ensuring that all necessary documentation is reviewed and decisions are made according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
- Review and analyze compliance issues, recommending solutions or escalations as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all requests and communications for compliance tracking purposes.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and internal reviews to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Provide support for the preparation and submission of compliance reports.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support compliance initiatives and operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage compliance or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and tools.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CERTIFICATIONS
- Preferred certifications include CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or similar.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
