The escrow officer performs advanced duties related to all facets of escrowprocessing. They are required to exercise extreme independent judgement and topossess the knowledge and experience necessary to handle any situation thatmay arise during the escrow process.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure
- Ability to read and understand title commitments
- Ability to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)
- Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.
- Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
- Coordinates the closing between all parties to the escrowReturns all calls, voicemails and e-mails in a timely manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promotesolicit businessAdheres to company policies and guidelines.
- EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- High school degree or equivalent requiredAssociates or Bachelors Degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years escrow experience is required
- Knowledge of SoftPro is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills both written andverbal
