As our Safety Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind ensuring a safe and secure environment for up to 850 team members. You’ll work across departments to develop and implement safety programs, provide training, and analyze workplace trends to prevent injuries before they happen. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort also has an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve, and the new Shorty's. • Be the Go-To Safety Expert – Collaborate with teams across the resort to build and enhance safety programs that actually make a difference.
• Proactively Prevent Injuries – Educate, engage, and empower employees to develop safer work habits, reducing risks before they become problems.
• Lead Training Efforts – Develop and execute a resort-wide safety education program, including annual training calendars, new hire orientations, and department-specific initiatives.
• Analyze and Improve – Use accident and workers’ compensation data to identify trends and adjust safety strategies accordingly.
• Support Team Members in Recovery – Oversee workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs, ensuring employees get the support they need.
• Champion Compliance – Maintain OSHA 300 logs, conduct thorough incident investigations, and ensure all safety practices align with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Keep Safety Records Spotless – Track training, maintain reports, and make sure everything is documented properly.
• Lead the Safety Charge – Guide safety committees and inspire a culture of accountability and awareness across the resort.

• Experience with workers’ compensation and property liability insurance (bonus points if you’re working toward a Certified Safety Professional designation).
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA laws, the Workers’ Compensation Act, and other key safety regulations.
• Tech-savviness, especially with Microsoft Office (yes, even PowerPoint).
• Exceptional communication skills—you’ll be training and engaging employees at all levels.
• The ability to assess risks, solve problems, and make sound safety recommendations.
• A valid driver’s license (because safety doesn’t stay in one place).
• The ability to juggle multiple tasks while keeping a cool head.
