Pet Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and grooming, along with a genuine love for animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs, cats, and other small animals.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle animals safely and effectively using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to sanitation protocols.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during the grooming process.
• Provide additional services such as pet sitting or care as needed.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address any health issues or concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal care.
• Strong skills in animal handling and dog handling; experience with equine is a plus.
• Knowledge of various grooming techniques and products suitable for different breeds.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
• Certification in animal restraint techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Pay: $29.39 - $32.33 per hour
