About this opportunity:

• Location: Dream Island Oaks 9664 Nursery Blvd, Glen St Mary, FL 32040
• Compensation: $14.00-$16.00 Hourly, depending on experience
• Position type: Part- Time/Full-time Hours vary, weekends, nights

What we are looking for in a Recreation Assistant / Ambassador of Fun :

• High School Education (some HS education required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing, upbeat, and very friendly personality
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well with others, inside as well as outside the company
• Ability to multitask
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, email, and the internet
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What you will do as a Recreation Assistant / Ambassador of Fun :

• Welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay at the resort
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and supervising activities such as crafts, games, picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners.
• Entertain Island Oaks guests through scheduled and non scheduled activities coordinating and encouraging participation.
• Set-up and clean-up after each scheduled activity – Must be present and set up 15 minutes before the activity.
• Help maintain a sheet tracking attendance for each activity
• Assist with training recreation department team members and volunteers
• Assist with updating apps and bulletins and distributing weekly newsletters to resort residents and guests
• Assist with Island Oaks Events coordinated by the Director of Events and Marketing as needed
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are stocked, put away in its proper storage location, sanitized, and kept in good condition
• Other duties as assigned
