Overview
The DreamHost IT Help Desk will assist managing all 1st level help desk and desktop support duties internally at DreamHost, across multiple offices, both in person and remotely. This person will be integral to ensuring the interconnectivity of our employees during ordinary work days, company-wide engagements, and sometimes global conferences. You will also be responsible for preparing new hire computers with the appropriate software and administering logins on their first day.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot all desktop and help desk support tickets and duties internally at DreamHost
Demonstrate the use of logic and reason to evaluate issues and find solutions to IT related problems
Aid the internal supply chain for computers and peripherals
Aid with the technical coordination of employees from different locations and offices during meetings
Demonstrate a knowledge of Information Technologies (fundamental concepts, systems, platforms and tools) and apply the knowledge when assisting team members with day-to-day functions and in facilitating company events
Create and maintain company and personal documentation as it pertains to IT with a high regard to individual and company privacy
Responsible for IT coordination for all special events
Respond quickly to time-sensitive requests and issues
Experience with a help desk support role or similar role highly preferred
Fluency in both Windows, Mac and Linux troubleshooting
Strong written documentation skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in what can sometimes be a high pressure environment
Excellent asset management skills
Strong verbal communications skills
Experience providing technical support via phone, chat, email
Experience with Installing and patching software
Ability to work on-site 5 days a week and aid with special project and occasional overtime
Salary : $15 - $25 / hourly
