What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server - Dreamland BBQ position at Dreamland BBQ?
POSITION TITLE : Server / Wait staff
REPORTS TO : General Manager / Front of the House Manager
POSITION SUMMARY :
The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great dining experience. Servers are expected to be attentive to every guest’s needs and make them feel welcomed, comfortable, important, and appreciated. Servers must be friendly and courteous at all times.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES
- Always displaying a positive Dreamland Image
- Maintain safe and sanitary work and dining environment
- Welcomes guests promptly and warmly
- Obtain drink and food orders utilizing suggestive selling
- Attentive and responsive to all guest needs, concerns, and questions
- If alcohol is served must check customers’ identification in accordance to ABC regulations
- Maintaining proper table settings and condiments
- Use the POS system to accurately account for the guests’ food, drink and retail orders
- Prepare and present customers’ bill and completing the transaction according to customers’ method of payment.
- Complete all side work and duties
AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABLIITY
PREREQUISITES
Education : Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Requires basic math skills.
Experience : Is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift 25 lbs or more. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 8 hours. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift tray over head. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, handling multiple guests needs at the same time.
