Due to growth, it has created a need for a 1st Shift Batching Operator position. The shift is 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
• Operation of processing equipment. Blending, and mixing into finished product.
• Ensure batches are properly blended. Record batching information, lot code, and total production quantities.
• Ensure quality batches are produced. Perform specific QC tests to ensure product meets specifications.
• Understand the basic setup, loading and operation of production equipment.
• Understand the raw ingredient set-up and blending of raw materials products.
• Be able to read and understand a manufacturing formula sheet.
• Choose the correct items from current inventory, and record lot number (if indicated).
• Weigh out and tag the product amounts based on formula sheet for production.
• Clean/maintain production equipment and areas of building as needed.
• Understand and abide by OSHA regulations.
• Acts as the back up to the other Batching Operators and Pre-Weigh Operators during absences to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
• Responsible for adhering food safety, cGMPs, employee safety, quality standards, sanitary practices and customer specifications.
• Report any food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year mixing and blending experience in a food/beverage/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment,
• Must have a valid WI driver’s license (required for forklift operation) Driver’s license is not a requirement for forklift. Prior experience as a forklift driver is preferred. Must be able to obtain a forklift license through DreamPak.
• Must able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
