Director of Youth Development

Reports to: Executive Director

Supervises: Teaching Artists

Position Summary

The Director of Youth Development is responsible for overseeing and implementing all youth development programs at DREAMS Center for Arts Education. The Director of Youth Development develops and manages curriculum, recruits and trains Teaching Artists, builds partnerships with schools and community organizations, and ensures that programs are aligned with DREAMS’ mission and goals.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Develop and implement comprehensive youth development programs that align with the organization's mission and goals.
• Recruit and retain youth participants, ensuring their active involvement and satisfaction with program offerings.
• Create and execute impactful outreach strategies to engage and attract youth to DREAMS.
• Ensure that programs offer youth opportunities to build confidence and gain valuable life skills.
• Lead and support teaching artists with guidance, training, and ongoing assistance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
• Collaborate with partners to identify and address the needs of youth in the community.
• Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze data on program outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, youth development, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Experience in developing and implementing curriculum and programs for youth.
• Commitment to the mission of DREAMS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
