Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality learning design, is actively seeking a Prop Artist to craft high-quality, interactive 3D props that bring our virtual worlds to life. You’ll collaborate with a creative team to produce props that not only look amazing but function seamlessly in VR. If you have a passion for detail and storytelling through digital assets, we’d love to have you on board!
This is a 1099 contract role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, model, and texture high-quality 3D props (both hard-surface and organic) to enhance VR environments.
- Collaborate with environment artists, animators, and designers to ensure props fit within the overall visual and narrative style.
- Optimize prop models and textures for real-time performance while maintaining artistic quality.
- Implement props into the game engine (i.e., Unity ), ensuring they are interactive and performant in VR.
- Work with technical artists to troubleshoot and solve issues related to prop integration, shaders, and materials.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from the art director, team leads, and users.
- Maintain a library of reusable prop assets and tools for future projects.
- Stay up to date on trends, tools, and best practices in prop design for VR and real-time environments.
