We are seeking a Senior Sleepwear Merchandiser to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing women's fashion apparel in the off-price sleepwear market, with an ability to run the business as if it were their own. They must be able to work on a large team, communicating across multiple cross-functional partners and execute these essential responsibilities :
- Shop the competitive market for new trend, silhouettes, fabrications, color, etc. to be sure to always maintain a strong understanding of market intelligence.
- Provide high-level direction in partnership with sleepwear design leads for perspective on brand direction, execution, bodies, etc. to create seasonal, brand-right quarterly collections that focus on styling, fabrication, and color development that meet market needs.
- Evaluate and edit collections quarterly with brand designers.
- Guide the planning and stock analysis needs of the company, making proposals for stock inventory in conjunction with the owners of the company and SVP of Design and Merch.
- Implement and follow a calendar to allow for planning of seasonal sku plans and stock buys for key brands; ensure cross-functional alignment on all market needs.
- Analyze selling reports and draw conclusions to drive category / brand strategies; share key info and suggestions with design leads and upper management.
- Attend key meetings to develop relationships with core buyers to identify market needs.
- Interpret customer needs based on feedback received in all meetings and work directly with account executives to advise sleep styles and collections to enhance business.
- Drive communication across all cross-functional partners.
