Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our outdoor landscape and farm management team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring the highest standards of quality in lawn care and landscape maintenance. This role requires hands-on involvement in various tasks related to plant care, irrigation, and equipment management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of team members in lawn care and landscape projects.
- Train new staff on proper techniques for plant identification, irrigation practices, and the use of hand tools.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of outdoor work.
- Monitor plant health and growth, implementing necessary adjustments to care routines as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including equipment usage and plant growth metrics.
- Assist with greenhouse operations, including planting, watering, and general maintenance.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational efficiency and team performance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, including growing techniques and landscape management.
- Proficiency in identifying various plant species and understanding their specific care requirements.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and effective watering methods.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks.
