Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Corporate Marketing Department at Drees Homes is seeking candidates for a Marketing Communications Specialist position. In this position, you will assist the National Marketing Director to direct the execution of marketing activities for assigned operating divisions. Act as a liaison between divisions and in-house graphic design staff while striving to maintain the Drees Homes brand. 

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 years’ experience in marketing communications and coordination
• Experience with email marketing systems - Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of digital images and basic photo editing/image correction/cropping/resizing
• Experience coordinating marketing activities for multiple divisions
• Strong time and project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to concisely and clearly translate product features into user benefit statements
• Creative problem solver who can suggest alternatives when faced with obstacles
• Self- motivated, adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Some Responsibilities include:

• Ensure consistency and usage of brand guidelines across all Divisions in marketing and electronic material
• Build consultative working relationships to understand and anticipate marketing needs, lead marketing planning meetings with division sales managers
• Manage execution of advertising projects with use of marketing automation system
• Execute digital advertising tactics and evaluate effectiveness using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Write marketing content for various marketing vehicles - ads, collateral, website, blog, articles, social media, email and presentations
• Manage product and community updates using content management systems for website and online data feeds
• Review and approve advertising creative and evaluate effectiveness of advertising and marketing materials
• Coordinate entries for home shows, product and marketing competitions
• Audit competitive activity and analyze/share findings that may impact the overall marketing strategies
• Keep up to date on market factors influencing sales in a division's region
• Travel to divisions as requested
• Additional Marketing related tasks and projects as assigned
