Sanitation Manager

Dreisbach Enterprises operates three cold storage facilities in the Bay Area. We handle any type of temperature-controlled or dry warehousing for our customers. We are recruiting a Sanitation Manager to join our team and help oversee sanitation efforts at three facilities.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. Annual compensation: $70-$80k.

This integral role will interact with our operational teams and compliance department to:

• Oversee sanitation efforts by directing, planning, and monitoring sanitation operations
• Review and maintain proper documentation of sanitation programs such as pest control, daily cleaning checklist, master sanitation schedule, training records, and chemical inventory
• Review, validate, and manage compliance with daily, monthly, and quarterly sanitation tasks
• Monitor sanitation operations to ensure work is performed according to established SSOPs
• Monitor the efficiency of sanitation processes and make recommendations
• Review, recommend, implement, and monitor sanitation schedules, SSOP's, and other sanitation processes
• Audit sanitation practices and provide feedback to company compliance department and facility management
• Participate and provide leadership to sanitation employees by training employees and other personnel in safe work practices regarding sanitation techniques and procedures
• Assist with regulatory and third-party audits
• Collect, review, and report on sanitation metrics
• Manage chemical inventory
• Oversee the pest control program including vendor relationship
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a sanitation role with at least 2 years of management/supervisory experience
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, E-mail, and simple database applications
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner including the ability to work well in group problem solving situations
• Must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Spanish speaking highly preferred
• Ability to make good judgment and decisions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals, instructions, and SSOPs
• Ability to train on sanitation processes and procedures
• HAACP certification a plus
• Knowledge of Cal OSHA standards regarding chemicals and SDS's
• Experience with SQF highly preferred
• Successful candidates must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen
