What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Clerk position at Dreisbach Enterprises?
We are an East Bay Warehousing and Transportation Company seeking a motivated employee to perform Clerical duties in our Transportation office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with significant opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate should have strong computer skills, good math skills, be comfortable with multitasking, type at least 40 wpm, be able to learn quickly, and work productively in a very busy office. As part of our transportation team, this role will:
- Enter customer orders into the Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Schedule appointments
- Audit drivers’ paperwork
- Enter work orders into the Fleet Maintenance Program
- Support Dispatch and Administrative staff as needed
- Handle Customer emails and calls
We seek candidates with at least one year of previous clerical experience. We are a customer-focused and appointment-based company, and so successful candidates must be punctual and professional. Successful candidates will also have:
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Experience with 10-key data entry
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Transportation experience a plus
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen
