Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts, particularly in disciplines such as Judo and Karate, and possess the ability to effectively educate and inspire students of all ages. This role involves teaching martial arts techniques, promoting physical fitness, and instilling values such as discipline and respect in students.
Duties
- Conduct engaging martial arts classes for students of varying skill levels.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate techniques from Judo, Karate, and other martial arts disciplines.
- Educate students on the principles of martial arts, including self-defense, discipline, and respect.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them achieve their personal goals.
- Organize and participate in events, competitions, and demonstrations to promote the martial arts program.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
Requirements
- Proficiency in martial arts disciplines such as Judo and Karate is essential.
- Previous experience working with students in a coaching or educational capacity is preferred.
- Strong skills in behavior management to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Ability to swim or climb may be beneficial for certain programs or activities.
- Certification as a lifeguard is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A genuine passion for teaching and promoting physical fitness through martial arts.
