Role Summary / Purpose :
The Quality Technician will be responsible for defined work or projects of incoming and outgoing products or materials for a company. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Also, you will be tasked to conduct testing, measurements and overseeing production processes.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Be proficient in inspecting all areas such as incoming, in-process inspection, and final inspection for all product lines.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Knowledge of QMS system and assist with document control.
- Develop reports analyzing top defect trends both internal and external.
- Measure product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Perform incoming inspection on selected and identified products.
- Accurately utilize measuring equipment to ensure correct products measurements.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Perform, document, and report out on incoming inspections on critical or identified parts.
- Assist with preparation, scheduling and conducting of internal quality audits.
- Report any accidents or injuries while on the job.
- Report any product issues to management that may affect functionality.
- Lead any other project / activity based on the business need, assigned by manager.
