Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction and heavy equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, including ohmmeters, hydraulic testers, and computerized diagnostic equipment, to assess and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance equipment reliability and optimize performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on equipment, adhering to OSHA and industry regulations.
- Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new construction and heavy equipment as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Equipment Technician, especially with construction and heavy equipment, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as ohmmeters and hydraulic testing equipment, is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations and best practices in construction equipment maintenance.
