We're assisting a seed-stage API visualization startup with their search for software engineers with a product/design focus. Their product allows teams to demo exactly what their API can do for any given prospect. This role will work out of the NYC Office in the financial district, and they are hiring multiple engineers in this capacity.
What you'll do:
- Obsess over the UI/UX for onboarding, building experience (API integrations) and beyond
- Collaborate directly with founders on roadmap and prioritization
- Architect and develop across our stack
- Go the extra mile working on the user experience
What you'll bring:
- 3 years of experience React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB
- Experience working in early-stage startup environments.
- A love for builder and design tools and enabling technical sellers.
- Excitement to become an expert on API-first companies and the best way to showcase their products (bonus: experience working at an API company).
- A love of design, building, and working hard. You re excited to roll up your sleeves, build something you re proud of and take ownership.
- Understanding of modern web technologies - a broad understanding of the entire stack (from HTML/CSS/JavaScript, through databases, APIs, API authentication, etc.)
- Familiarity and comfortable handling module bundlers (webpack, Babel, various loaders and plugins), including troubleshooting configurations issues
- Experience with builder tools like Retool, Webflow, Figma, etc.
- Experience in React (React Native, Expo bonus)
- Design experience, strong design thinking skills - a lot of the platform is visual so skills and understanding on graphic design (layout, typography, color, etc) are desirable
