Drink Me! Tea Room is a unique woman-owned business located in Tempe, AZ. We are 100% plant-based, gluten-free, and mostly organic but our true focus is on providing an unforgettable customer experience in a modern and relaxing atmosphere.

We are looking for a Tea Room Attendant to join our small team. This role will be responsible for our front of house tea service presentation and caring for our customers. The ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail, outstanding team work, kindness, a positive attitude and a passion to create an amazing and memorable experience. Although we cater to vegan and gluten-free diets, no prior vegan food experience is necessary. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction with creativity, lovely presentation, and delicious food and tea! We greatly value honesty, respect and dependability in a healthy work environment. We have a very small but diligent team working to make this dream come true!

Expectations and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Operating with a guest-first mentality

· Dependable, on-time, and ability to communicate well, Maintaining a kind and positive attitude

· Greeting customers and welcoming them in, answering questions

· Presenting tea selections and food items

· Answering phone calls, text messages & emails with customer requests, making reservations

· Processing payments and counting change back
· Assist team members in other areas of the tea room when needed

· Monitor stocks for tea & supplies

· Controlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink & supplies

· Ensuring food is stored and labeled properly

· Keep it clean! Follow the sanitization standards, make sure tea room stays clean and organized, and follow food handling standards

· Cleaning duties such as washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, cleaning windows

· Follows opening and closing checklists

· Assist team members in other areas of the store when needed

· Complete other duties that are assigned by management

• Must be knowledgeable on all health department regulations ensuring safety and sanitation food practices at the café level

• Demonstrated time management, organizational, and planning skills

Qualifications:

· Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance

· Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful

· Must comply with any dress code requirements

· Must be able to work weekends and some holidays

· Must have valid food handler’s permit

• Reliable transportation to work
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work standing & walking for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds

• Ability to complete various additional tasks (i.e. sweeping floors, moving equipment)

· required to handle food and hot beverages

Education and Experience:

· 1 year Customer Service Experience

Salary:

· $9.80 / hour (tipped wage) Tips (range is $50-$70 per day)

Schedule:

• Flexible
• Part Time,16-24 Hours per week
• Weekends required and Some Holidays required
