POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Apprentice Technician II, Electro-Mechanical to join our maintenance team at DrinkPAK. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production equipment by performing regular lubrication and preventive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machinery lubrication, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California, Headquarters B2.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lubrication Maintenance:
Perform scheduled lubrication tasks on production machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and to prevent wear.
Monitor and maintain proper lubrication levels and adjust as needed according to manufacturer specifications.
Keep detailed records of lubrication activities and make recommendations for improvement.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical failures, electrical issues, or other problems affecting equipment performance.
Follow and update preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment usage and manufacturer recommendations.
Equipment Monitoring:
Regularly inspect production equipment for signs of wear, corrosion, or malfunction.
Utilize predictive maintenance tools and techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography) to assess equipment health.
Perform cleaning and calibration of machinery as part of the preventive maintenance program.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of all preventive maintenance and lubrication activities, including parts replaced, tasks completed, and any follow-up actions needed.
Provide reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on equipment conditions, maintenance issues, and any potential improvements.
Write corrective work orders to fix any issues that cannot be resolved.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure work areas are safe and organized.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety standards and industry regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely completion of tasks and resolve any operational concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food/beverage production environment.
Knowledge of lubrication systems, machinery maintenance, and industrial equipment.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and practices.
Familiarity with computer maintenance management system (CMMS) programs and practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform minor electrical repairs is a plus.
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Flexible to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
