The Batching Technician is responsible for the adherence to correct mixing instructions and specifications. Supplies the production line with the batched product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery.
LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Precisely inspects, stages, weighs, and mixes ingredients according to the product recipes. Collaborates with the Quality Department on the analytical results and makes modifications or adjustments to the batches when needed (i.e., Brix, Acid, pH, color).
- Pre-weighs blends and liquefies components for beverage preparation.
- Accurately documents lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers (CIPs, foaming equipment, and hand brushing).
- Operates electric forklift to load sugar, following all safety procedures.
- Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Always abides by DrinkPAK’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
- Maintains general housekeeping and quality in all areas of the warehouse, including any additional areas assigned by leadership.
- Accurately completes hourly inspection sheets based on overall product quality.
- Assists in other areas as required by leadership.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar position; 1-3 years of experience preferred in the Food or Beverage industry or similar manufacturing environment; 1 year of experience managing projects.
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
- Ability to visually inspect products and materials.
- Forklift experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Safety, continuous improvement, and solutions-driven mindset.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Occasionally required to work in refrigerated conditions (34* – 36*F), as well as frozen conditions (<10*F)
