Role Overview: You will play a key role in conducting comprehensive investigations and due diligence to support our financial services operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding the organization's interests.
This is a work-from-office position (5 days a week) based in Andheri-East, Mumbai.
Work Timings - 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Investigations:
- Perform detailed investigations into potential risks associated with financial transactions, clients, and partners.
- Analyze and evaluate information from various sources to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Prepare and present detailed investigative reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
2. Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence assessments on clients, partners, and third parties, including background checks, financial reviews, and risk assessments.
- Assess and verify the accuracy and completeness of information provided during the due diligence process.
- Maintain and update due diligence documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate the ownership structures, business relationships, financial transactions and other data to assess means of recovering monies from stressed and deep delinquent accounts including tracing assets that one can enforce any judgements against
3. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies related to investigations and due diligence.
- Identify and report any compliance issues or discrepancies that could impact the organization.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to address and resolve any identified issues
- Strategically assess improvements needed to the underwriting processes to manage risk better whilst optimizing for growth.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize analytical tools and techniques to assess data and trends relevant to investigations and due diligence.
- Generate and present reports summarizing findings, trends, and risk factors to senior management.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on investigative findings.
- Assess key themes and strands coming out of due diligence and investigation cases and develop actionable underwriting checks and processes or other risk mitigation metrics around those findings
What we’re looking for:
- 0 to 1 year of experience in investigation, due diligence, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with due diligence and integrity databases across major jurisdictions including India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, etc
Proficiency in data analysis tools and investigative techniques.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
