Job Summary
As a part of the US collections team, you will play a critical role in managing and mitigating risks within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to support risk management efforts by conducting risk assessments, monitoring risk indicators, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, operations, and compliance, to ensure effective risk identification and remediation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex risk information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Monitor risk indicators and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, operations, and compliance, to ensure effective risk identification and remediation.

Analyze payment history and on-the-ground conditions to detect early signs of stress and delinquency.

Verify buyer information and approve/suspend/reject importer accounts in accordance with policy.

Conduct policy-based collection calls and communicate with clients/buyers/lawyers to ensure timely recovery of financed amounts for international trade transactions.

Review bank deposits and reconcile balances.

Visit defaulted clients to understand their business and repayment structure.

Follow up with buyers for updates on the repurchase status.

Report clients to insurance carriers in cases of default and file claims when applicable to receive a payout.
