GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Nurse Practitioner facilitates professional leadership and related specialized care
to the high risk infant patient population, with intent to improve the quality of life
through optimizing nutrition and early detection of developmental delays.
Responsibilities include: Travel (Air and/or by Ground to meet the needs of the clinic);
assisting in coordination of activities related to the clinical program including but not
limited to: activities related to evaluation and consultation; referrals for
developmental interventions; family communication and education; inclusion of
multidisciplinary team to assess and recommendation of plan for the patient, and data management for the program / clinic for research, outcomes and/or reporting purposes.

Makes and implements decisions compatible with organizational goals. Maintains composure, effectiveness, and flexibility under pressure.

and diagnostic procedures.
Skills Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the
ability to show diplomacy and tact to care for families with a child
with congenital abnormalities, communicate effectively, and
coordinate multiple departments efficiently. Organization and
attention to details are essential as well as the ability to collect and
manage data. The ability to demonstrate and perform generic and
unit-based/critical competencies including the specific care of age
and diagnosis appropriate patients; demonstrate positive
interpersonal skills; utilize time and resources in a cost effective
manner; demonstrate flexibility; demonstrate good verbal and
written communication skills; delegation; operate basic medical
equipment; read and analyze basic medical equipment; excellent
keyboarding skills with ability utilize a personal computer to
include word processing and basic office equipment.
Formal Education and Experience
Advanced Practice Recognition for RN’s with a minimum of three
(3) years pediatric patient care experience.
